Six, Robert (Forman) (1907–86) airline executive; born in Stockton, Calif. Using family money, he established Valley Flying Service in 1929. In 1937, after having worked in China as a pilot, he borrowed money and bought a 40 percent interest in Varney Speed Lines, renamed Continental Airlines in 1938.
