Slaney, Mary

Slaney, Mary (b. Decker) (1958–  ) track athlete; born in Bunnvale, N.J. She held several different U.S. records in distance running, from the 800 meter to the 10,000 meter race. Her attempt at an Olympic medal was thwarted in 1984 when she was accidentally tripped by Zola Budd in the 3,000 meter race at Los Angeles.
