Slatina 

a city in southern Rumania, on the Olt River; administrative center of the Olt District. Population, 32,100 (1974). Slatina has a large aluminum plant and manufactures aluminum products and carbon electrodes. The city also has machine-building enterprises that produce equipment for the food-processing and other industries, and food-processing factories.
