Sluice Boxes State Park Location: 5 miles south of Belt on US 89, then 0.5 miles west on County Road 340. Facilities: Picnic area, backcountry campsite, hiking trail (3 miles). Activities: Backcountry camping (permit required), fishing, hiking, river floating, wildlife viewing. Special Features: Remains of mines, a railroad, and historic cabins line Belt Creek as it winds through a beautiful canyon carved in limestone. A primitive trail provides access to fishing, challenging floats, and wildlife viewing.
