virtual folder
An index to files and folders. The virtual folder is automatically updated if any of the actual files and folders are modified. For example, in Windows Vista and Windows 7, the results of a search can be saved as a virtual folder, which is a collection of Shortcuts to the real items.

Ness and Ray cover the basics of creating a user account, navigating the Mac OS X desktop, and working with such new features as Smart Folders (of saved search attributes), Spaces (for viewing all open windows simultaneously), and Time Machine (for easily backing up and restoring files).
Staying on top of things is what these so-called smart folders do well, but something search engines don't usually help with.
This will allow the consumer to access next generation technology features such as implicit query, TV search and Smart folders with a technology capable of more accurately understanding the complexities of the Chinese language than the currently used legacy methods.
