An earlier family of software tools from Information Builders that ran on a wide variety of platforms and were used to create and manage data warehouses. Several of the products survive in Information Builders' 2001 spin-off company, iWay Software (www.iwaysoftware.com), which concentrates on e-business integration. Its flagship offering, iWay Enterprise Integration Suite, incorporates an ETL tool, performance monitor and performance governor, all elements of SmartMart.
