No references found | SMERSH, a Russian acronym that means "Death to Spies," was the name of a set of Soviet military counterintelligence departments that were formed during World War II, according to 1C. Other exhibits included Stalin's order creating SMERSH, the military counter-intelligence unit whose name stands for "kill all spies" in Russian. We could, though, with just a small leap of the imagination, picture Sarah Palin as one of those Bond girls who turns out to be working for SMERSH, the sort of buxom beauty who will blast you with a shotgun the second you shuffle out from under the duvet and head for the bathroom. |
