Facilities: Lodge, pioneer campground (youth groups only), 3 picnic shelters, trails (4 miles), wildlife viewing stands, visitor center. Activities: Group camping, trout fishing (reservation required), hiking, bicycling, hunting (with restrictions), wildlife viewing, nature photography, guided tours, educational programs. Special Features: Duke's Creek, north Georgia's premier catch-and-release trout fishing stream, runs through Smithgall Woods, and trout fishing and van tours are offered certain days of the week (call for schedule). The lodge at Smithgall Woods is actually five separate cottages, making this mountain retreat ideal for romantic getaways or corporate retreats.
