He Poos Clouds whips pizzicato strings, snare drums, woodwinds, and his light but affecting tenor into deceptively complex yet frothy-sounding pop concoctions, all inspired by being the butt of many a mean-spirited teen-movie joke. Watching the Scottish percussionist perform on various instruments -- from snare drums to marimbas -- is more than inspirational, however. The donation includes 110 marching drums of various colors and sizes, as well as 66 student snare drums. |
