RealPC
An earlier DOS emulator for the Macintosh from FWB Software, Newark, CA. Known earlier as SoftPC and originally developed by Insignia Solutions, which was acquired by Smith Micro Software in 2007, RealPC was used to run DOS games and other DOS applications on the Mac. It was discontinued in 2003. See Virtual PC for Mac.

As part of the BIOS customization for the new SunPCi card, TouchStone will be providing power management support for automatic shutdown when the host workstation is powered down, as well as a BIOS soft update feature which will enable the AwardBIOS to be soft loaded onto the co-processor hardware from the workstation each time the SoftPC application is run.
Continuing Relationship The agreement continues a relationship between SunSoft and Insignia Solutions that was initiated with Insignia's SoftPC, which SunSoft licensed for use in its SunPC products.
