Solgon Ridge
a mountain range in the south of Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR. The Solgon Ridge reaches a maximum elevation of 875 m and a length of 120 km. It forms a narrow bridge (as wide as 40 km) between the Kuznetskii Alatau and the Vostochnyi Saian mountains, separating the Chulym-Enisei and the Nazarovo basins. The ridge is composed of sandstones, slates, limestones, and extrusive rocks. The slopes of the Solgon Ridge are covered with small-leaved forests and areas of spruce-and-firtaiga.
