Cataloging a vendor's hardware and software offerings by industry or application rather than by products and services. "Solutions" has become a marketing buzzword. Some Web sites have excluded all products and services, offering only solutions. In such cases, if the prospective customer's problem is not addressed by a solution, it can sometimes be unclear what the company's products actually are.
