Sotsialistik Tatarstan 

(Socialist Tatarstan), a republic-wide Tatar-language newspaper of the Tatar ASSR. Founded in 1918, the newspaper was originally called Esh (Labor). It was renamed several times and assumed its present name in 1960. It is published in Kazan six times a week. Circulation, 175,000 (1975). Sotsialistik Tatarstan was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor in 1968.
