SoundFont

A format for audio samples from E-MU Systems, Inc., Scotts Valley, CA (www.emu.com). SoundFont provides a common format so that musicians can exchange keyboard sounds. It enhances the .WAV audio format with extensions that allow, for example, a heavy key depression to produce a different sound than a light one. E-MU is the wholly owned music subsidiary of Creative Technology, Ltd. of Singapore. For more information, visit www.soundblaster.com/soundfont.
