South Pacific Anticyclone

a high-pressure system in the southern part of the Pacific Ocean. The South Pacific Anticyclone appears on long-term average maps of the distribution of pressure throughout the year, but particularly in the winter. It is one of the centers of atmospheric activity of the subtropical and, in part, tropical belts of the southern hemisphere.
