Southern Siberian Race
one of the races transitional between the Mongoloid and Europeoid races, formed in the process of their mixing in Southern Siberia, Kazakhstan, and Middle Asia. The race is most typical for the Kazakhs, but it is also found among other peoples of the Asiatic part of the USSR, Mongolia, and the northwestern part of China. Members of the race are characterized by a flattened, broad, and long face, an average protruding nose, slow beard growth, dark hair and eyes, brachycephaly, and medium stature.
