Sovetakan Aiastan
(Soviet Armenia), an Armenian-language republic newspaper of the Armenian SSR. Founded in 1920, it was originally called Kommunist. It was renamed Khorurdain Aiastan in 1921 and assumed its present name in 1940. It is published in Yerevan six times a week. Circulation, 256,000 (1975).
