(Soviet Military Review), a monthly illustrated military and political journal. Sovetskoe voennoe obozrenie has been published since January 1965 by the Krasnaia Zvezda Publishing House. Published in English, Arabic, Spanish, and French, the journal is distributed in many countries and is intended for servicemen of foreign countries. Sovetskoe voennoe obozrenie deals with the military policies and activities of the CPSU and the Soviet government, the history and combat experience of the Soviet Armed Forces, the education and training of servicemen, the operation and care of equipment and weapons, and military life. It also deals with international affairs and the achievements of the Soviet economy, science, technology, and culture.
