Sovettik Kyrgyzstan
(Soviet Kirghizia), a Kirghiz-language republic newspaper of the Kirghiz SSR. Founded in 1924, the newspaper was published under the name Erkin-Too (Free Mountains) until 1927. It was later renamed Kyzyl-Kyrgyzstan (Red Kirghizia) and acquired its present name in 1956. It is published in Frunze six times a week. Circulation, 120,000 (1975).
