Saint-Jean-de-Luz (săN-zhäN-də-lüz), town (1990 pop. 13,181), Pyrénées-Atlantiques dept., SW France, in the Basque Provinces (see Basques Basques (băsks), people of N Spain and SW France. There are about 2 million Basques in the three Basque provs.
