St. Marys
a river in North America. The St. Marys River flows out of Lake Superior and empties into Lake Huron in two branches; forms a border between the USA and Canada. It is 112 km long and drains an area of 210,000 sq km. The mean flow rate is 2,120 cu m per sec. The St. Marys River is a link of the Great Lakes waterway system; canals with locks have been built around the rapids. Two cities, both named Sault St. Marie—one in Canada and one in the USA—are situated on the river. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
