St. George’s
capital of the independent state of Grenada in the West Indies; located on the western coast of the island of Grenada at an elevation of 188 m. Population, 8,600(1969). St. George’s has a rainy-and-dry tropical climate; the average monthly temperature is 26°C and the average annual precipitation is 1,959 mm.
