(statistics)
A test score converted or transformed into a common scale, such as standard units, to effect a more reasonable scale of measurement in order to make comparisons between different tests. Also known as standard measure.

The Guardian score for each institution in each subject is derived from a weighted average of the standardised scores for each measure, converted into a scale in which the highest ranked institution gets 100 points and all institutions receive a positive score.
However, her spelling and word recognition sub-test standardised scores had barely improved.
The standardised scores for each of the four factors were compared by sex using independent t-tests, and by BMI and weight-control behaviour within sex, controlling for age group and level of education, using analysis of covarianee (ANCOVA).
