Standish-Hickey State Recreation Area Location: 1.5 miles north of Leggett on US 101. Facilities: Developed family campsites (includes @di site), hike/bike campsite, picnic areas, hiking trails. Activities: Camping, fishing, hiking, swimming, interpretive programs (seasonal). Special Features: Standish-Hickey stands at the gateway to "tall trees country" and features nearly two miles of the South Fork of the Eel River. One of the few virgin coast redwood stands remaining in this area can be seen on the Grove Trail.
