Wojciechowski, Stanislaw 

Born Mar. 15, 1869, in Kalisz; died Apr. 1, 1953, in Gołabki, near Warsaw. Statesman and politician in bourgeois-landowners’ Poland.

Wojciechowski took part in founding the Polish Socialist Party in 1892. From 1919 to 1920 he was minister of internal affairs and from 1922 to 1926, president of Poland. Wojciechoswki was the author of works on the cooperative movement, The Cooperative Movement in England (1907) and The Cooperative in Its Historical Development (1923).
