Steamboat Springs

Steamboat Springs, town (1990 pop. 6,695), Routt co., NW Colo., on the Yampa River, just W of the Park Range; founded 1875, inc. 1907. It is a resort and skiing center, with ranching, farming, and light manufacturing. There are hot mineral springs and coal mines in the area. Steamboat Springs is the headquarters of nearby Routt National Forest.

Dalby was a prominent member of the dance community, serving on the faculties of Stephens College in Missouri, the Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School in Steamboat Springs, CO, and each summer for many years at the American Dance Festival.
Delta Airlines announced a winter schedule in which it will start service to Telluride and Steamboat Springs and expand existing service to other "ski destinations" in the western US and Canada beginning Dec.
The Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club welcomed me with open arms, and as a member of that organization I placed 18th overall in the 2004 U.
