Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge Address: c/o Ridgefield NWR PO Box 457 Ridgefield, WA 98642 Phone: 360-887-4106; Web: pacific.fws.gov/ridgefield/Steiger.htm Established: 1984. Location: On the Columbia River, 10 miles east of Vancouver, Washington. Special Features: Refuge supports anadrmous fish, breeding neotropical birds, and migrating and witnering ducks, geese, and other birds. Habitats: 1,059 acres of riverine floodplain, semi-permanent wetlands, cottonwood-dominated riparian corridors, pastures, and remnant stands of oregon white oak.
