Stone Jr., Edward D.

(1923–2009)
Landscape architect and son of architect Edward Durell Stone. Stone’s projects included the Atlantis in the Bahamas; Madinat Jumeriah in Dubai, UAE; and PepsiCo’s corporate headquarters, in Rye, NY, which won the ASLA Landmark Award and was honored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Specializing in tourist destinations and recreation-based communities, his firm, EDSA, was also responsible for Disney World’s West Side, Euro Disneyland, and the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino.
