BlackBerry Storm The first touch screen BlackBerry from Research in Motion. Introduced in 2008, the Storm is a dual-band phone that supports both CDMA and GSM carriers, including EV-DO (CDMA) and GPRS/HSDPA (GSM) data networks. The original Storm touch screen featured SurePress technology, which required an actual depression of screen keys. In late 2009, the Storm2 replaced SurePress with a multitouch touch screen similar to other smartphones.Specifications The original Storm, now known as "Storm1," had 1GB of internal storage (Storm2 has 2GB) with expansion via an SD Card. Other features include GPS navigation, a 3.2 megapixel still and video camera with flash and zoom, organizer, a media player for all major A/V formats, e-mail, text messaging, Web browser and Bluetooth. Wi-Fi was absent on the Storm1, but standard on Storm2. See BlackBerry.
