Storrie Lake State Park Location: 4 miles north of Las Vegas via NM 518. Facilities: 45 developed campsites (21 with electric hookups), restrooms (é), showers, picnic areas (é), 3 group shelters, playground, trails, boat ramps, courtesy dock, visitor center. Activities: Camping, boating, sailing, personal watercraft, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, windsurfing, wildlife viewing. Special Features: Storrie Lake's consistent winds provide excellent conditions for sailing and windsurfing. The park's visitor center features historical photos of the Santa Fe Trail and 19th century Las Vegas, which was a hangout for such notorious Old West characters as Doc Holliday, Billy the Kid, and Wyatt Earp.
