Strip Light 

a lighting instrument used in the theater. Strip lights consist of lighting units that radiate diffuse light. They are assembled in sections and suspended on battens, which are raised and lowered by a winch, counterweight system, or electric motor. Strip lights are used to illuminate the stage from the front and from above.
