Stump-Tail
(Trachysaurus rugosus), also stump-tailed lizard and shingle-back skink, a lizard of the family Scincidae (skinks); the only species in the genus. The body length is up to 36 cm. The stump-tail is distributed in the shrub steppes and semides-erts of Australia. It feeds on insects and other small invertebrates and on plants. The female bears two or three young in March.
