Subroutines Library

a set of program elements drawn up for the digital computer in advance and designed for use as whole parts during the drawing up of new programs. The subroutines library in which strict conditions have been imposed on the subroutines to standardize the procedure for their use is called a library, or system, of standard subroutines. The subroutines library accelerates and simplifies programming problems of certain classes. Systems of standard subroutines are used in automating programming.
