Suita 

a city in Japan, on the island of Honshu, in the prefecture of Osaka. Population, 260,000 (1970). Suita, a satellite city of the Hanshin industrial area, has enterprises of the metallurgy (electric steel, rolled metals), machine-building, textile, and food-processing industries. The city also has a thermal electric power plant.
