Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, beachcombing, wildlife viewing.
Special Features: One of the most scenic parks on the Oregon coast, Sunset Bay features sandy beaches protected by towering sea cliffs. A network of hiking trails gives visitors a chance to experience a pristine coastal forest, seasonal wildflowers, and ocean vistas from atop the rugged cliffs and headlands.

Sunset Bay State Park (Coos Bay) - A network of hiking trails connects Sunset Bay with nearby Shore Acres and Cape Arago state parks, with spectacular ocean vistas from atop the rugged cliffs and headlands and views of Gregory Point and the Cape Arago lighthouse.
Tidepooling, another way to examine wildlife close up, can be explored in Charleston's Sunset Bay State Park and Cape Arago State Park.
Some of the best are in state parks and recreation areas, including Haystack Rocks, Hug Point, Seal Rock, Yachats State Recreation Area (or just about anywhere with 10 miles of Yachats), Strawberry Hill State Wayside, Neptune State Park, Sunset Bay State Park, Cape Arago State Park and Cape Blanco State Park.
