Sunstein, Cass R. (Robert) (1954– ) legal scholar; born in Salem, Mass. He served as an attorney adviser to the Department of Justice (1980) and taught at the University of Chicago (1981). Known for his work in administrative law, civil procedure, and constitutional law, his major publications are Constitutional Law (with Stone, Seidman, and Tushnet) (1986) and After the Rights Revolution (1990).
