Syrskii

an urban-type settlement in Lipetsk Oblast, RSFSR, under the jurisdiction of the Sovetskii city soviet in the city of Lipetsk. Located 10 km from Lipetsk. Population, 13,200 (1974). In addition to the Tsentrolit Plant, which is designed to test methods of mechanization and automation, Syrskii has the Lipetskie Uzory Factory. There is also a sovkhoz for fattening livestock and a plant producing crushed stone. As of 1976, construction was under way on a meat-packing combine and a grain elevator.
