The majority of application based network communication techniques use the TCP protocol to form a virtual connection between two devices. The very large, high capacity WAN links that are used to transfer bulk data are, however, often painfully underutilized due to latency and TCP protocol constraints that severely impact throughput and data transfer speeds. Unlike existing solutions, Ipanema's Tele-Acceleration uses a unique approach to TCP acceleration that speeds up the TCP protocol at the source without necessitating another device at the destination site. |
