Taal
an active volcano in the Philippines, on S Luzon on an island in the centre of Lake Taal. Height: 300 m (984 ft.). Area of lake: 243 sq. km (94 sq. miles)

Taal 

a volcano in the southwestern part of the island of Luzon in the Philippines. The cone, which rises to approximately 300 m in elevation, is situated on Volcano Island in Lake Taal (area, 244 sq km). At the peak there is another lake in the crater, which measures 2 km in diameter. About 20 eruptions have been recorded since 1572; the most recent volcanic activity occurred from 1965 to 1970.
