Tagul 

(in its upper course, Malyi Tagul), a river in Irkutsk Oblast, RSFSR; a left tributary of the Biriusa River of the Yenisei River basin. The Tagul measures 300 km in length and drains an area of 7,990 sq km. It originates on the northern slope of the Vostochnyi Saian and flows in a narrow valley. It forms a waterfall in its upper course and rapids in its lower course. It is fed primarily by rain. High water is from May through September. The mean flow rate 12 km from the mouth is 104 cu m per sec. Ice begins to form in October, and the river freezes over in November; the ice breaks up in May. The river is used for floating timber.

TNK-BP (TNBP - Buy) is developing the Suzun and Tagul fields, commercial production at which will begin in 2012E.
Kruglyakova said: "In December this year on the East Siberian Railway, there are plans to launch a facility for treatment of industrial waste at the Tagul station.
In informal conversations with Rosneft management at Vankor, it was indicated that TNK-BP has accelerated its exploration operations on its oil fields next to Vankor: Suzun, Tagul and Russko-Rechinskoye.
