Tahoe
Lake. a lake between E California and W Nevada, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains at an altitude of 1899 m (6229 ft.). Area: about 520 sq. km (200 sq. miles)

Tahoe 

a lake in North America, in western USA. Lake Tahoe is situated in the Sierra Nevada Mountains at an elevation of 1,897 m. It has an area of 502 sq km and is more than 450 m deep. The lake is of glacial-tectonic origin. Its outlet is the Truckee River, which flows into Pyramid Lake, a closed lake. The Lake Tahoe region is a popular resort center.
