Tairo Hikansho Domei
(also Tairo Hikansho Doshikai; League for Nonintervention in Russian Affairs), an organization founded in Tokyo on June 22, 1922, that opposed Japan’s occupation of the Soviet Far East and called for the immediate withdrawal of Japanese forces. Organized by workers, peasants, and youth groups of the Kanto region, the league also advocated the establishment of trade relations with Soviet Russia. After the Japanese were expelled from Primor’e in the autumn of 1922, the Tairo Hikansho Domei began a campaign for the recognition of Soviet Russia. Precisely when the league ended its activities is not known. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
