Kumasi market in Ghana is so huge, it even encroaches on the main Kumasi to Takoradi train line which pedestrians use to guide their way through the masses. Fancy Dress masquerades are performed during the Chistmas and New Year season in many towns: New Takoradi, Sekondi, Anemobo, Abandze, Saltpond, Mumford, Apam, Winneba, Agona Swedru, and Elmina, to name but a few. After the reports of trouble, however, Ghanaian officials relented and allow the ship to head toward the port of Takoradi for refueling and medical assistance. |
