Tanafjorden 

an inlet of the Barents Sea, in northern Norway, between the Nordkyn and Varanger peninsulas. Tanafjorden is about 60 km long and 12 km wide at the entrance, with a maximum depth of 397 m. It branches in several directions, and its steep banks are up to 600 m high. Tides, which may vary as much as 2.2 m, are semidiurnal. The Tana River empties into Tanafjorden.
