Tashkentskie Mineral’nye Vody 

(Tashkent Mineral Waters), a balneological health resort in the Uzbek SSR, located 20 km from Tashkent. Summers are hot, with an average July temperature of 27°C, and winters are mild, with an average January temperature of – 1°C. Annual precipitation is approximately 370 mm. Treatment makes use of mineral springs, whose water, as tested from spring No. 7, has the chemical composition

The water from the springs is used for baths and for drinking; the water of spring No. 2 is bottled. Diseases treated at the resort include those of the musculoskeletal system, the peripheral nervous system, and the digestive organs, as well as gynecological and skin diseases. The resort has a sanatorium and a bathhouse.
