Taylor, Barry N. (Norman) (1936– ) physicist; born in Philadelphia, Pa. He taught at the University of Pennsylvania (1963–66), then became a physicist at RCA Laboratories, N.J. (1966–70) before joining the National Bureau of Standards (1970). He made key advances in precision measurements and fundamental constants, absolute electrical measurements, and superconductivity.
