technical educationAcademic and vocational preparation of students for jobs involving applied science and modern technology. It emphasizes the understanding and practical application of basic principles of science and mathematics, rather than the attainment of proficiency in manual skills that is properly the concern of vocational education. The goal of technical education is to prepare graduates for occupations that are classified above the skilled crafts but below the scientific or engineering professions. The academies are three-year programs, grades 10 through 12, that integrate academic learning with career technical education, business partnerships and internship programs. Problem: Enrollment of female students in Colorado Springs School District 11 middle school career and technical education exploratory classes was low, which meant few females enrolled in those electives at the high school level. Newer publications and relevant texts are added as members express their technical education and continuing education needs to the Division, and we strive to meet all the needs of rubber education in various segments of industry. |
