Tekhnika I Nauka 

(Technology and Science), a monthly popular scientific, technical, and trade journal; organ of the All-Union Council of Scientific and Technical Societies of the USSR. The journal was founded in Moscow in 1959 under the title Nauchno-tekhnicheskie obshchestva SSSR (Scientific and Technical Societies of the USSR); the current title was adopted in 1973. The journal covers the activities of scientific and technical societies and examines aspects of the planning and management of the national economy and the raising of production efficiency. It also publishes information on scientific and technical achievements in the USSR and other countries. Circulation, more than 180,000 (1975).
