soundtrack
The audio that is recorded on movie film, a video or game. Soundtracks may be analog or digital in one or more channels (mono, stereo and multichannel). The term may also refer to a separate audio album that contains the music from a movie.

Film Quad Track
For movie theaters, quad track 35 mm film includes one analog and three digital formats (SDDS, Dolby and DTS). The DTS is a time code that synchronizes with the soundtrack on CD-ROM (see DTS). Leveraging all the distribution and marketing tools available, the band made up of Kele Okereke (vocals/guitar), Russell Lissack (guitar), Gordon Moakes (bass), and Matt Tong (drums), have managed to place their songs in prominent video games, commercials, re-mix discs, movie, and television soundtracks.
Their back-catalogue which also includes indie favourites There Goes The Fear, Words and Catch The Sun as well as Ain't No Love, their debut single under the guise of 1990s dance outfit Sub Sub - can frequently be heard on television soundtracks.
