    0.01 sec.
Temriuk Gulf

a shallow gulf near the southeastern shore of the Sea of Azov. The gulf, which juts inland 27 km, measures 60 km in width at the entrance and approximately 10 m in depth. The shores are low and mostly overgrown with reeds and feature plavni (submerged floodplains with growths of reeds and cattails). The main branch of the Kuban’ River empties into Temriuk Gulf near the city of Temriuk. The gulf freezes by mid-January, and the ice breaks up in March.
